Olamide ”Badoosneh” and His Lack Of International Awards, WHY?

 Media mogul  Tunde Alabi-hundeyin Dudu has written an interesting piece about  Nigerian hip pop recording artiste and YBNL boss , Olamide.

Tunde Alabi-hundeyin Dudu

The head of Dudu productions  took to his Facebook page to pose a strong question as to why Olamide even with his dope music is not recognized internationally compared to other artistes like Wizkid and Davido and some others who have gone international and are now getting recognized and reaping rewards of there effort like in the just concluded MOBO Awards and MTV  Awards.

The question generated a lot of response from his FB follower. According to some, management is one of the reason why he is shunned internationally, while others believe he being from the street would not want to loose his home fan base.

His piece reads;

“The two giants of African music now are  WIZ KID and DAVIDO.
Laping up all international awards, colabo with world class stars and hitting the best concert arenas on the AFRICAN Continent , Europe and the US. Very brilliant chaps.
However my mind goes to OLAMIDE. This boy is playing some bad ass music. His latest “WO” is classic example of how a simple un clustered rhythm can just throw you into reckless ecstasy. Hes made hits after hits after hits not to mention many successful artistes he’s turning out from  his stable.
However OLAMIDE is shunned by international stars. He’s hardly had big time concerts on the international arenas . The awards from GRAMMY, MOBO, etc are not adorning his shelves. What is wrong. Is it bc OLAMIDE dwells too much in Yoruba idioms, is he too comfortable in his Lagos cocoon.? Is it a function of a short sited management?
What should this incredibly talented artists do to join WIZ KID and DAVIDO on the global stage?”
