Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez posted a video on his Instagram story earlier as he was about to board a private jet to Manchester.
And Starsport understands the Chile intentional has landed at Manchester Airport as his move to Old Trafford draws closer.
Sanchez, 29, boarded the plane in Farnborough and arrived about midday.
Starsport has tracked his flight, with Sanchez set to complete his Manchester United medical in the next couple of days.
Sanchez will earn a staggering £500,000-a-week at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho, making him the highest paid player ever in English football.
Red Devils star Henrikh Mkhitaryan will head the other way to Arsenal in a straight swap deal, with the Armenia international agreeing terms with the Gunners yesterday.
Speaking after United’s 1-0 win at Burnley yesterday afternoon, Mourinho confirmed that Sanchez was heading to Old Trafford.
“Expect soon or never. So close, so close, so close, if it doesn’t happen it is not going to happen,” he told reporters after the game.
“I know my people doing absolutely everything they can.
“I think they will be successful.”
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also discussed the transfer, with the Frenchman putting a timeframe on the highly-anticipated deal.
“I expect it to happen, but I can’t announce it. In the next 48 hours it will be decided,” he said after the Gunners hammered Crystal Palace 4-1.
“Until it’s over the line you can’t say it will happen. If you want to have a bit, it could happen.
“Sanchez will only happen if Mkhitaryan comes here. That’s why it takes longer as well because it is coordinated.”
